Graveside services for Zelda Faye Wenninger, 81, of Cement, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Bill Holly officiating.

Zelda Faye (Fincher) Wenninger was born on May 11, 1937 in Ennis, Texas, the daughter of Garland Onzy Fincher and Ruby Faye (Fritz) Fincher. She passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home in rural Cement, Oklahoma.

Zelda grew up and attended school in Levelland, Texas, where she also met her husband Bob Wenninger. They were married on May 27, 1951 in Lovington, New Mexico.

With Bob’s work in the oilfield, they moved to several towns, coming to the Chickasha, Oklahoma area in the early 1960’s. They eventually made their home in rural Cement.

hroughout her life, Zelda raised their children and was a homemaker. She enjoyed ceramics, making porcelain dolls, woodworking and also loved flowers and all animals.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her son, Stevie Wenninger; her son, Jerry Don Wenninger; and her son-in-law, David R. Carlin.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of the home; daughter, Deborah Carlin of Florida and Oklahoma; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Cheryl Wenninger of Duncan, Randy and Charlotte Wenninger of Dill City, and Mike Wenninger of Anadarko; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
