Graveside services for William Joel “Joe” Landrum, 83, of Chickasha, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 in the Ninnekah Cemetery with Chaplain Jim Henderson officiating.
William Joel Landrum, known as Joe, was born June 25, 1932 in Shamrock, Texas to Tom S. Landrum, Sr. and Alta B. (Brown) Landrum. He died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Joe grew up in Shamrock, Texas and after graduating high school went on to received several Bachelor Degrees. He worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture in the Accounting Department from the time he was a young man until his retirement.
Joe loved to travel extensively. He had the opportunity to travel worldwide with his career and he also traveled for enjoyment. His favorite place to visit was Branson. He lived with and cared for his parents until their passing. He found it easy to meet people and he got along well with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margarett May.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Tom S. Landrum, Jr. and Mary Landrum of Ninnekah; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Billie Landrum of Texas; niece, Evelyn Caples and her husband, Billy, of Ninnekah; several great nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
