William David Stewart, known by most as David, was born December 28, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of William Joseph Stewart and Patricia Maxine (Wood) Stewart. He went to be with our heavenly Father on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home in Amber, Oklahoma.
David grew up in the Chickasha and Amber area. He was a Boy Scout and enjoyed fishing, camping, and shooting guns with his friends. He graduated from Chickasha High School in 1975 and then attended OSU.
After school he came back to work the family farm and over the years while working for his father’s farming businesses, he also worked at various jobs in the oilfield.
David lived life to the fullest and always had to be busy doing something. He really enjoyed driving cars, boats, ski-dos and all things fast. He was always riding his motorcycles and four-wheelers and he loved messing around on the farm and driving around on his tractor. David liked playing chess, listening to music and was an avid reader, enjoying the works of Mark Twain.
He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and at Thanksgiving and Christmas he volunteered his time feeding the homeless. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
David was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Carolyn Sue Stewart.
Survivors include his sons, William Emmon-Rall Stewart and Max Stewart, both of Oklahoma City; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Rodney Kennedy of Amber; brother, Billy Stewart of Amber; and other extended family and friends.
Memorial services for William David Stewart, 60, of Amber, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Talbert officiating.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
