Funeral services for William “Bill” Ray Cunningham, 73, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with JV Lobaugh officiating and Gary Williams assisting.
William Ray Cunningham, known as Bill, was born June 21, 1944 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Garland Cunningham and Belvie Viola (Stephens) Cunningham. He went to his Heavenly home on Friday, May 4, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Bill grew up in Alex, attended schools in Chickasha, then graduated from Friend School in 1963.
On August 16, 1963, he married Sylvia Mae Miller in Middleburg, Oklahoma. They were married for over 54 years.
Bill worked for Pet Milk Inc. as a pie shell supervisor from 1965 until its closing in 1995. He was a member of Ninnekah First Baptist Church.
He loved to work on cars, lawn mowers, anything with a motor. He liked guns and knives and he also liked to buy, sell, and trade and was a jack of all trades, a handyman. Bill worked hard his whole life and loved his family, grandkids, great-grandkids and his critters.
He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Winifred Cunningham.
Survivors are his wife, Sylvia Cunningham, of the home; sister, Alta Dever of Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Lloyd Howeth of Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Deana and Russ Harvey of Chickasha and Donna and Aubrey Pool of Ninnekah; grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie and Steven Jarvis, Jamie and Zac Robbins, Amanda and Jarrod Cagle, Jennifer McLearen, Andrea Pool, Ty Pool and fiancée, Kenzie; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Aaron, Emily, Colton, Elijah, Eliana, Mason, Jadon, Briley and Bryson; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
