A viewing for Wanda Raye Rinn, 92, formerly of Chickasha, will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home. Then a memorial service for her will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 th at the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Wanda Raye Hickman was born September 15, 1931 in Verden, Oklahoma to William Benjamin Hickman and Vadna Earl (Startz) Hickman. She passed from this life on Friday, October 20, 2023 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Wanda grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School.
She met the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Rinn on a blind date to see The Passion play at the Wichita Mountains and on November 18, 1949, they were married in Chickasha. They had two beautiful daughters and shared 57 wonderful years of life together before his passing in December 2006.
Wanda worked as a medical transcriptionist for Chickasha Hospital. After they retired, she and Gene enjoyed traveling in their RV. She loved the outdoors and fishing. She just loved “going,” it didn’t matter where. She loved the Lord and looked forward with reuniting with Gene and being in Heaven. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Gene, a son Scotty Rinn, a sister Gloria Magee, and a brother Bill Hickman.
Loved ones left to remember her are her daughters and sons-in-law Patty and Steve Cavin of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Vicki and Jim Odle of Sand Springs; sister Beth Ray of Skiatook; grandchildren and their spouses Drew Link, Aaron Link, Peter and Lacey Voth, Michael and Jessica Odle, Jeremiah and Julia Voth, and Benjamin Voth; great-grandchildren Noah, Nick, Riley, Taryn, Allie, Aubree, Carolina, Ava, Alexandria, Jack, Sam, Bristol and Britt; and one great-great-granddaughter Charlotte; and other extended family. The memorial service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home
