Funeral services for Wanda J. Grubbs, 75, of Chickasha, will be held 10:30, Saturday, February 15, 2020, in the Maranatha Baptist Church, in Chickasha.
Wanda J. Grubbs was born January 2, 1945, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Willie A. and Pansy (Hodo) Fuller. She passed away February 11, 2020, in Oklahoma City.
Wanda J. Grubbs moved to Orange, Texas, where she attended school and graduated from High School. She married Charles T. Cannon in the early 1960’s, and to this union her four children, Deborah, Rhonda, Sherry and Michael were born. She spent most of her life rearing and caring for her children. She enjoyed her flowerbeds, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family. Another great love she had was spending time with her precious dog Kiki. She enjoyed shopping trips with her friend Dorothy and her daughters.
Wanda is preceded in death by both of her parents; sisters, Bessie, Beatrice, Grace, Anna, Juanita, Muriel, Dorothy, Ruby, and Thelma Lois; brothers, Roy, Billy, Wayne, Weldon, and Virgil.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Smith, of Chickasha; daughter and son –in-law, Rhonda and Joel Leatherbury, of Chickasha; daughter, Sherry Cannon, of Alamogordo, New Mexico; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Pamela Cannon, of Lordsburg, New Mexico; sister, Ruth Mabry, of Carnegie; sister, Linda Currie, of Tempe, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and many other extended family members and friends.
Interment will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home
