Vivian, also known as Nanny, was a devoted mother and wife. There are many things one will remember about Nanny, but nothing greater than her love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and family. She enjoyed, as did anyone who sat at her table, Sunday dinners. She was the best cook ever and always made enough to feed anyone the kids or grandkids wanted to bring. No one could make a pecan pie and fried chicken better than Nanny. Holidays were especially important to her and she always had a special meal that everyone enjoyed.
Vivian was baptized in the Baptist church, a member of Calvary Baptist Church. As a young woman, she taught Sunday school classes. She enjoyed Sunday services on television when her health did not permit her to attend church.
She raised her children and took care of her home while working various jobs. In later years, she worked at and retired from CVS Pharmacy.
