Memorial services will be held by the family for Vivian Helen (Cooper) Hartsfield, 86, of Chickasha, at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Maranatha Baptist Church with Phillip Raney officiating and Wayne White assisting. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home.
Vivian Helen (Cooper) Hartsfield was born on March 16, 1931 in Coalgate, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Marshall Cooper and Bertha Mae (Brown) Cooper. She died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Vivian, known as Vi, grew up in the Coalgate area. She was a cook most of her life at various restaurants in Farmington, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Vi settled in Chickasha in the early 1990’s.
She enjoyed gardening and canning, picking and cracking pecans, reading and watching John Wayne movies.
Vi was preceded in death by both parents, five brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Furlong, of the family home in Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Keith Robertson, of Chickasha; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Beth Hartsfield, of Farmington, New Mexico; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other numerous family and friends.
