Graveside services for Viola (Johnson) Rogers, 81, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 in Ninnekah Cemetery with Clem Cassmeyer officiating.
Viola (Johnson) Rogers was born January 1, 1939 in Konowa, Oklahoma to Roy Paris Johnson and Elizabeth (Cummins) Johnson. She died on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Viola attended Putnam City schools in Bethany. On April 30, 1955, she married Walter Donald Rogers in Wichita Falls, Texas and they had 64 years together until his passing this past January.
She was the most loving and kind mother. She made their house a home and had the gentlest soul. Viola always had a smile on her face with an easy laugh. She loved holding babies and she was always in the kitchen, was an excellent cook and would readily have a meal on the table for any of her family and friends. She also always had an open Bible on her table and lived her faith with a love and devotion to the Lord. She had most recently attended Southern Oaks Church of Christ.
Viola was preceded in death by both parents; daughter Deborah Lynn Rogers; granddaughters Kristin Doshie Rogers and Michelle Renea Rogers; four brothers Glen, Roy, Tony and Kenneth Johnson; two sisters Ina Mae Johnson and Carolyn Hester.
Survivors include her children and their spouses Randal and Shawna Rogers of Rush Springs, Kathy and Jerry Garten of Pumpkin Center, Ronald and Tami Rogers of Arlington, Texas, Marletta and Clem Cassmeyer of Chickasha and LaDonna and James Clouse of Chickasha; grandchildren Aaron, Justin, Mark, Brian, Dustin, Jarrid, Tara, April, Heather, Kristal, Jodie, Rebecca, Samuel, Michael, Brayden and Madison; thirty great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at a visitation Thursday, December 17 th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home.
