Private memorial services will be held by the family for Vickie Stapp, 69, of Chickasha, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Little Cemetery Chapel in Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held at Ferguson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 30th and Thursday, January 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Vickie Verre (Bryan) Stapp was born January 18, 1950 in Liberal, Kansas to Dale Wesley Bryan and Della Mae (Wordlow) Bryan. She passed away January 28, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Vickie grew up and attended schools in Seminole, Oklahoma. She then attended Shear Power Academy of Hair in Ada, Oklahoma.

She married Tommy Babb and to this union her children, Stephen, Shane, and Jamie were born.

Vickie worked at Beth’s Hair World in Seminole for many years. She liked playing dominos, crocheting, quilting, and working needlepoint.

In 1992, she married Kenneth Joe Stapp of Tecumseh. She was adventurous and resilient. She liked the outdoors, camping and fishing and enjoyed raising emus. She also liked to dance. Later in life she liked to watch old westerns and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Vickie was a great supporter of her granddaughter’s school fundraisers and participated in breast cancer awareness and other worthy charities.

Vickie was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, K.J. Stapp in 2003; two children, Stephen and Jamie Babb; brothers, Herbert, Leon, Bill, and Clyde Bryan; sisters, Bonnie Cooper, Linda Floyd, Alice Marie Hall, and Emma Johnston.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Doris Babb of Chickasha; granddaughter, Sara Hatfield and her husband, Nathan, of Yukon; great-grandson, Lathan Shane Hatfield; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
Vickie’s choice following viewing was cremation and interment will be in Little Cemetery near Seminole, Oklahoma.

Viewing and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
