Funeral services for Venita Faye Parker, 82, of Bradley, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in the New Beginnings Church off of Hwy 39, located at 2396 County Street 2940, Blanchard, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike Sturgell officiating.
Venita Faye Parker was born in Alex, Oklahoma on July 10, 1939 and she entered Heaven’s gates on April 28, 2022.
Venita was the first child of Pete and Ruby Chapman of Alex. After graduating from Alex High School in 1957, she went to work for Kress’s 5 & Dime. On November 15, 1958, she married Joe Glass and they had three sons. They resided in Chickasha until his passing in 1994.
On February 14, 1997, Venita married her high school sweetheart, Al Parker. They lived in Oregon for several years and retired to Bradley, Oklahoma in 2000. They enjoyed the rodeo, roping, traveling and visiting with family, friends and church.
Venita was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Robert and Richard Chapman, son Randy Glass, and grandsons Tony and Nicholas Glass and Maximos Leonard.
Survivors include her husband Al Parker of the home; sons Rusty Glass and wife Linda of Chickasha and Sheldon Glass and wife Fredia of Chickasha; step-sons Wade Parker and Chad Parker; step-daughters Shay Benson and husband Bruce and Tina Cramer and husband Glenn of Oregon; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Alex Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
