Funeral services for Troy Maloney, Jr., 71, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Milton Bowens, Jr officiating.
Troy Maloney, Jr. was born July 29, 1949 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Troy Maloney, Sr. and Glenna Maloney. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2020 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Troy grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He attended Lincoln High School and later graduated from Chickasha High School in 1967.
Troy enlisted in the United States Army in 1968. He went on to earn multiple awards for Marksmanship and Good Conduct. While serving he completed a tour of service in Korea during the Vietnam war. He then returned home to marry his longtime love, Marian Nelson on August 13, 1970. Once married, the two moved to Fort Bliss, Texas with both sons, Don and Clark Maloney. Troy continued his service until May of 1971 when he was given an honorable discharge.
Troy and his family returned to Chickasha, Oklahoma where they joined other family members. He began working at the United States Postal Service in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he remained for over 40 years.
Troy loved spending time with his entire family, providing seasoned wisdom to his children and anyone else who asked. His personality was reserved, yet fun. Perhaps, Momma Claudia knew this when she coined him “Peter Rabbit”.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Troy Maloney, Sr. and Glenna Faye (Johnson) Maloney; sisters, Wanda Jean Montez, Claudia Jean Maloney and Sherry Maloney-Liggins; niece, Glenna Maloney; nephew, Joel McCray; maternal grandparents, Richard and Claudia Johnson and paternal grandparents, Jim and Eugenia Maloney.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Maloney of the home; daughter, Shayla Maloney of Chickasha; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Kelly Maloney of Colorado, Clark and Sophie Maloney of California, Troy Maloney, III and Mary Prather (Fiancée) of Midwest City; grandsons, Keeven Moore of Colorado, Cedric Williams of Norman, Evan Alford of Chickasha, Troy IV of Midwest City; granddaughter, Gabrielle Maloney of Pennsylvania; sister, Joyce Ann Garrett of Chickasha; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Rita Maloney of Chickasha, Roy and Phyllis Maloney, Coy and Melba Maloney, Dennis Maloney (Maria Givens), all of Chickasha; and many other extended family and friends.

Public Viewing will start Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 10 a.m.-12 p. m.
Interment in Fairlawn Cemetery will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
