Funeral services for Tresa Nan Osborn, 77, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Amy Rogers officiating.
Tresa Nan Osborn was born November 27, 1942 in Canon City, Colorado. She was the daughter of Hansel and Mildred (Payne) Shipp. She died on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tresa came to Pocasset as a young girl and graduated from Pocasset High School where she played basketball. She then attended Central State (now UCO) for a couple of years.
On June 30, 1961, she married Bobby Osborn and they had 58 years together.
Tresa was a dedicated mother with a playful spirit, she stayed at home raising her children during their early years. She then worked as a secretary for Lufkin Trailers, the Edmond Police Department, and retiring from Pocasset Grain at 70 years old.
She was a wonderful seamstress, an avid gardener and liked canning and cooking. She loved to be outside and in later years when they started farming, she preferred a tractor to housework. When her son Kirk was showing horses, she enjoyed supporting him and the horse show life.
Tresa had a servant’s heart and was the backbone of her family. She would always be there in the background, waiting to pick you up when you needed her. She had a big heart for the underdog and her life was devoted to her children, grandchildren and animals. She loved to laugh and have fun and liked to go to casinos and to OU basketball games with her good friend Shirley.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Robert Stack, Jr., sister Vaughn Farmer and great-grandson, Brady Benson.
Survivors include her husband Bobby of the home; daughter and son-in-law Penny and Tim Gooch of Guthrie; son Kirk Osborn of Guthrie; grandchildren Brooke Benson and husband Brian, Clayton Furlong and wife Vanessa; bonus granddaughters Katy and Abby Gooch; great-grandsons Dominic, Blake, Jameson and Ryan; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
