A Celebration of Life for Tonya Lin Cobb, 49, of Ninnekah, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Tonya Lin Cobb was born February 11, 1971 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Donna and Dale Martin. She died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tonya graduated from Am-Po High School in 1989 and then went to USAO, receiving a BA in Sociology.
She started a career working for DHS, first as a Child Welfare Worker then later she became a case manager for the Developmentally Disabled. She was a strong advocate for children and for the developmentally disabled. She had such a caring and compassionate spirit.
On May 2, 2007, she married the love of her life, Cary Cobb in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tonya was a member of the Elks Lodge #2125. She loved cats and was the cat mama to Bay Bay and Snoopy. She also loved to be at the beach.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe Chapman, Everett and Virginia Martin; aunts Bobbi Wallis and Wanda Albright; uncles Neil Martin, Mark Martin and “mean” Joe Wallis; grandson Hercules Schleeper; special great-aunt and great-uncle Evelyn and Gene Lemon.
Survivors include her husband Cary Cobb of the home; daughter Jordan Martin of Chickasha; step-daughter and son-in-law Heather and Michael Schleeper of Oklahoma City and their children Keyton, Kaden and Saylor; mother and father Donna and Dale Martin of Pocasset; brother and sister-in-law Jeffrey and Ashley Martin of Chickasha; nephews Jase and Easton Martin; grandmother “Granny” Marie Chapman; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law Sandy and Hank Badertscher of Rush Springs; sister-in-law Cathi Crownover of Lawton; father-in-law Melvin Cobb of Ninnekah; and other extended family and friends.
