Funeral services for Tom S. Landrum, 88, of Ninnekah, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in the Ninnekah First Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Kerr officiating.

Tom S. Landrum was born on January 23, 1929 in Shamrock, Texas, the son of Tom S. Landrum, Sr. and Alta B. (Brown) Landrum. He died on September 7, 2017 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.

Tom grew up and attended schools in Shamrock, Texas. He then was employed in his father’s welding shop for a couple of years before he enlisted into the United States Navy. Tom served in the military from August 1950 to June 1954.

He attended Long Beach City College majoring in welding and was a union member with the Welding Sheet Metal Workers, Southern California Pipe Trades 250, retiring in 1990.

Tom married Nora Roberts on June 20, 1959 and to this union his two children, Tim and Linda, were born.

On August 9, 1996, Tom married Mary Sawyer in Lefors, Texas. After their marriage, they settled in Ninnekah in 1996.

He was preceded in death by both parents, sister, Margaret May, brothers, Joe Landrum and Harold Landrum, and son, Tim Landrum.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, and great-grandchildren, Brittany and Bryce Smith of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Rick Lennon of California; step-daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Billy Caples of Ninnekah; step-son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathy Dowd of Texas; granddaughter, Piper Manoff; three step-grandchildren, Crystal Jernigan, Christina Kilgore, and Brenda Sacash; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
