Todd Anthony Abel was born on October 18th, 1994 to Larry Abel and Toni Grach in Duncan, Oklahoma. He passed away in his home on January 16th, 2022 at the young age of 27.
Todd lived in Rush springs, Oklahoma with his mom and younger brother, Tristen until the age of five when his mom married James Avery and they raised six kids in Bradley, Oklahoma.
Todd went to Alex schools from kindergarten until he graduated in 2014. He loved weight lifting and playing football and was part of the state championship football team his senior year. Todd was known as caring good-hearted kid and had many friends.
After high school he went on to do taxidermy at Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha, Ok. He was really good at it. He always had a knack for the outdoors and being a survivalist. From fishing, hunting, taking care of animals and helping his grandad on his farm. He took pride in lending a helping hand and fixing things. Always putting others before himself.
Todd then moved to Alex, Ok where he lived with his two companions, his dogs Ranger and Sheriff. He worked for the city of Alex and was spoken very highly of by his neighbors and friends. He had a very big heart and a listening ear to everyone that crossed his path. We will miss his big laugh and pure soul.
Todd was survived by his grandmother Peggy Grach of Florida; grandparents, Larry Abel and Marlene Abel of Alex; stepdad James Avery of Bradley; father Larry Abel of Rush springs; aunt Jay J of Indiana; aunt Bobbie Letmon of Florida; brother Tristen Abel and wife Kiersten of Lindsay; two step-brothers Jeremy and Damon Avery of Okc; two sisters Jewel Avery and Hunter McClure; step-sister Kristen Blankenship (Avery), with seven nieces and nephews and eight cousins.
Waiting in heaven was his mom, Toni Michelle Avery; his grandma Judy, and his grandpa Thomas Anthony (Tony) Grach.
Services will be held by the family at Assembly of God on Highway 19 in Lindsay, Ok on Tuesday, January 25
th
at 2:00 pm. Flowers donations are appreciated.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
