Funeral services for Steven Paul Doan, 58, of Amber will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Steven Paul Doan was born September 22, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert Dale Doan and Dorothy Jean (Hosmer) Doan. He died Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home in Amber, Oklahoma.
Steve graduated from Dibble High School. He loved riding horses and as a young man he worked as a jockey.
On September 8, 1984, he married Lisa Diana Turner and they had 36 years together.
Steve worked for Delta Faucet for over 25 years and most recently he had worked for P&K Equipment as a John Deere technician.
He liked to work and enjoyed talking, never meeting a stranger. He was always willing to help others and place their needs ahead of himself. For the past 25 years, he enjoyed working their farm in Amber. Steve was a very supportive dad, loved his family, and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Steve leaves behind his wife Lisa of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Kandice Doan of Amber and Ethan and Erica Doan of Weatherford; grandchildren Rozalyn, Izabelle, Ainzley and John Steven; brothers and their wives Rob and Sandra Doan of Dibble, Tim and Clara Doan of Lindsay, Mike and Stephanie Doan of Blanchard, Doug and Amy Doan of Friend and Eddie and Amy Doan of Ft. Cobb; in-laws Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Turner of Amber; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Following the funeral service, Steve’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be viewing on Friday morning at 10:00 and right up to the service time.
