Sherry grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She attended Chickasha Public Schools and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1979.
Sherry loved children and working with small children is where her passion was. She attended and worked during high school in early childhood education at Canadian Valley Technology Center. After over 30 years of employment at Arvin, she went back to the first love of her life working with children at Epworth Christian Day School. She later became employed at Sunnypatch Early Childhood Center where she obtained certification as master teacher status and all her babies loved “Mrs. Sherry”.
She accepted Jesus Christ at a very young age. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and later transferred her membership to Shepherd Street Christian Church in February 2016.
Sherry loved God and made him Lord over her life. Even her smile and loving personality was highly contagious. She loved her family and each one of her siblings was at the top of her list in priority. She treated each niece and nephew as if each one was “her favorite”. She just had that kind of love.
