Funeral services for Shelia Ann Brownen, 57, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Bible Baptist Church with Kim Hayes officiating.
Shelia Ann (Morris) Brownen was born on September 18, 1958 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charlene Boevers and Bobby Morris. She died Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Shelia was raised in Chickasha, attended Chickasha High School and during her time there she had a passion for horses and barrel racing. She graduated in 1976. Soon after high school, she married Dan Boevers and from this union her two sons, Cody and Travis, were born and she stayed at home raising her boys for a time.
She was later employed with Hermetic Switch, now HSI Sensing, for close to 20 years where she made many lifelong friends.
In 1998, Shelia married Charles “Chuck” Brownen.
She enjoyed motorcycle riding and reading a good book. She loved keeping her grandkids and attending all their sporting events. Shelia was an awesome cook and loved cooking for her family. She also loved her dogs, they were her fur babies. She had a big heart and never really had much, but was always willing to give to others.
Shelia is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Morris.
Survivors include her mother, Charlene Boevers, of Chickasha; sister, Brenda Morris, of Duncan; brother, Mike Morris, of Ninnekah; sons and daughters-in-law, Cody and Melony Boevers, of Chickasha, and Travis and Amber Boevers of Chickasha; grandchildren, Austin, Baylee, Cade, and Bryce Boevers; her dogs, Uno and Libby; and other extended family and friends.
Services and interment in Fairlawn Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
