Memorial services for Sharon Kay Simpson, 68, of Chickasha will be held by the family at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at Outbreak Ministries located at 5 th and Missouri.
Sharon Kay Simpson was born June 29, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Fred Arnold Freeman and Carmie Beatrice (Pate) Freeman. She passed away at her home in Chickasha on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
Sharon attended and graduated from Chickasha High School. After high school she met and married William Zearl (Bill) Simpson on February 6, 1965 in Chickasha.
She loved to help people and worked in home health care for many years until her health declined and she had to quit. Sharon always enjoyed being with her family. When we had get togethers, she was the life of the party. She loved to help when she was called on. She also loved to play the piano in church.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Arnold Freeman, Jr., grandparents, and two sisters-in-law, Mikki and Jo Freeman.
She left behind her husband of 50 years, William Zearl (Bill) Simpson, of the home; son, Rusty Lynn Simpson, of Oklahoma City; brother, RL Freeman and wife, Donna, of Cement; sister Kathy Comstock and husband, Reverend Roger Comstock, of Arapaho; aunts and uncles, Virginia and Ben Rice of Sulphur, Wanda and Joey Tannehill of Chickasha, Ethleen Graves of Chickasha, and Jimmie Smith of Chickasha; the joys of her life, Yaz and Liz Dawson of Chickasha; 14 nieces and nephews; 33 great nieces and nephews; and many cousins and other extended family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
