Funeral services for Rudolph Hodge, 70, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Delbert Allen officiating.
Rudolph Hodge was born July 25, 1950 in Olustee, Oklahoma. He passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother Daisy (Brooks) Fox and her husband Charles; his father Cecil Hodge; his grandparents, who raised him, Mary and George Brooks. Also preceding him in death were his uncles and aunt, George “Jack” Brooks, Jr., Charlie “Hoss” Brooks and Ruby McClellon, but they considered Rudolph as their brother.
Rudolph served in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam and received many commendation medals and an honorable discharge.
He married Grace Edwards and to that union his daughter, Pauline was born.
After moving to Chickasha, he was employed by PSO. That is when he met his wife and the love of his life, Sarita Phillips-Hodge and they had one son, Braxton.
Rudolph retired from PSO with 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a Pittsburg Steelers fan and Boomer Sooner to the day he died.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Sarita Hodge of Chickasha; his daughter Pauline Henry and her husband Dewayne of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama; his son Braxton Hodge of Chickasha; granddaughter Marquisha “Kee-Kee” Khamis and her husband Khaled; great-grandchildren Tyler Hodge, E’malie Seitz, Zoe Seitz and Ryan Seitz, all of Mobile, Alabama; his brothers Charles Fox, George Fox and Deion Fox and his sister Teresa Fox, all of Queens, New York; Jean and Aaron Trotter of Electra, Texas; two special nephews and niece Donnie and Amanda Holman of Moore and James Holman of Altus; and a host of other relatives and friends.
MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE MANDATORY AND THERE WILL BE TEMPERATURE CHECKS UPON ENTRY.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
Viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25 th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
