Funeral services for Ruby Dreadin, 87, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 p.m on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Northside Church of Christ with Pastor Jim Talbert officiating.
Ruby (Combs) Dreadin was born April 7, 1933 in Pinetop, Kentucky. She was one of eleven children born to Pearl and Nora (Collins) Combs. She passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at her home in Chickasha, surrounded by her loved ones.
Ruby grew up in Bulan, Kentucky attending schools there. She moved to Ohio as a young lady.
On December 7, 1955, she married Monroe Lee Dreadin in Columbus, Ohio and they had over 55 years together until his death in 2011.
They came to Chickasha in 1956. Ruby worked at Clydes Café, the High School Cafeteria for many years and then later as a home sitter with the elderly. She always welcomed any family and friends into her home and cared for and raised many loved ones over the years. She was Grandma to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Monroe; son, Robert Dreadin; daughter, Debbie Keel; and several siblings.
Survivors include her sister, Cindy Melton of McAlester; brothers, Earl Combs of Florida, Paul Ray Combs of Kentucky, and Cullen Combs of Alabama; grandchildren, Shawn Dreadin of Blanchard, Dustin Vance of Oregon, Felicia Glass of the home in Chickasha, Sonya Peden of Oregon, Chance Dreadin of Blanchard, and Merci Keene of Newcastle; numerous great-grandchildren and many other loved ones.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
