Funeral services for Roger Dale Balentine, 64, of Cement, will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Grand Assembly of God Church with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating.
Roger Dale Balentine was born April 15, 1951 in Kermit, Texas, the son of Daniel Eli Balentine and Ramona (Waybourn) Balentine. Roger left this world with his granddaughter, McKenzie Lei, in his arms Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Apache, Oklahoma and we will see them both again soon.
Roger came to Oklahoma as a child and was raised in the central Oklahoma area, he later returned to Texas.
On July 16, 1988, Roger married Christina Robinson in Sunset, Texas.
He had been employed with Texas State Highway Department, as a self-employed contractor, a truck mechanic, and as a truck driver.
Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Eli Balentine; one brother, Danny Wallace “Bullet” Balentine; a nephew, Blake B. Balentine.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Balentine, of the home; sons, Joshua E. Balentine and Justin D. Balentine; daughters, Dana K. Diaz and her husband, Johnny, Tanya L. Balentine, Tabitha D. Strawbridge and her husband, Brian, and Bonnie B. Riley and her husband Nicholas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
