Robert “Rob” Walter Mack, 81, of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, died Monday, August 16, 2021 in Torrance, California. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 28, 2021 in the Rush Springs Cemetery in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Rob will be laid to rest near his dear wife, Joylene (Bennett) Mack.

Mr. Mack was born March 18, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Raymond Walter Mack and Isabel Marie (Blaschke) Mack. After the death of his father at age 5, he moved with his mother to Hollywood, California.

He was married to Joylene for 34 years until her passing from cancer in 2000. He was preceded in death by both parents.

He graduated from Princeton University in 1962, with a degree in History. His career as a Public Relations Director included working for Shell Oil Company in New York, General Dynamics in Fort Worth, TX, Hughes Helicopters in Culver City, CA, and McDonell Douglas in Mesa, AZ. Rob traveled the world extensively for work and pleasure. He visited Iran, Egypt, India, France, Canada, Russia, Chile, Bali among many other countries. He loved Jesus, and was very active and involved at Rolling Hills Covenant Church in Rolling Hills Estates, CA. He spent a lot of his free time with his family and further developing his passion for photography and videography so he could keep up-to-date photos and videos of his expanding family throughout the years.

Survivors include two daughters, Monica Conner of Manhattan Beach, California and Kristin Mack of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Nick Mack of Tustin, California and Quinn Mack of Oceanside, California; three sisters, Arline Arnold of Burbank, California, Marie Shields of Round Rock, Texas and Nancy Eder of Simi Valley, California; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
