Memorial services for Ricky D. Rodgers, 56, of Rush Springs will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012, at the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha.
Ricky D. Rodgers was born in Ceres, California, on October 21, 1955, to Aurbrey W. and Lenna N. (Stanley) Rodgers. He passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Arb Rodgers of Alex and Nadine Rodgers of Cleburne, Texas. His younger sister, Carolyn, passed early in his life. He has two surviving sisters, Sandy Ramey and Reina Saretti, who reside in Northern California.
Rick moved to Oklahoma over twenty years ago to live with his father and went to work at Midwest Towers in 1991 where he was employed up until his passing. He loved his work and the people he worked with. He recently opened up his heart and home to Suzanne Nichols, his life partner, and her three young great-nephews, Robert, Cedric and Lorenzo, after the loss of her sister last year.
Rick was a hard worker and a generous man with his time and friendship for those who took the time to know him. He will be truly missed by those who loved him best.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
