Funeral services for Richard “Rick” Dean Riley, 58, of Cement, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at New Life Christian Church located at 1828 S. 13 th , Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Ezell Nelson officiating.

Richard “Rick” Riley was born July 8, 1957 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and died March 4, 2016 in Cement, Oklahoma.

Rick grew up in Cement then moved to Chickasha as a teenager. He met the love of his life Beth in Cement and they were married on February 27, 1976 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They recently celebrated their 40 th wedding anniversary.

Rick worked in the oilfield for 41 years. He traveled the world working on rigs and has friends from every corner of the earth. Rick enjoyed coyote hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Rick was an avid OU Sooner fan and loved playing softball.

Rick was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Coleta M. Mathews.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Riley, of the home in Cement; son, Sean Riley, of Chickasha; son and daughter-in-law, Deirik Riley and Candi McElroy of Chickasha; his parents, Joyce (Riley) Shepard of Chickasha, Gordon and Linda Shepard of Cement and Geri Robb of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Rocky and Jan Shepard of Blanchard, Gordon Shepard Jr. of Chickasha, Brad and Joy Shepard of Cement and Shane Robb of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Jenny Short and Lori Higgins of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Reese Riley, Tryker Riley, Sheldon McElroy, Austin McElroy, Lexi McElroy and Caden McElroy; stepsisters, Tamra Warner of Pennsylvania and Rhonda Hess of Las Vegas; brother-in-law, Bo Haile; sisters-in-law, Tricia Smith of Chickasha, Sandra Meeks of Chickasha and Bobbi Smith of Moore; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Services and interment in Fairlawn Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
