Funeral services for Rebecca Ann Chaney, 67, formally of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Josh Abbott officiating.
Rebecca Ann Chaney, who went by Becky, was born November 1, 1954 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Raymond Lester Miller and Ruth Laverne (Strong) Miller. She passed from this life on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in Purcell, Oklahoma.
She grew up in Slaughterville, attending Canada School then going to Noble High School. She married Gary Wilson and they had a daughter, Michelle, before he died a little while later.
Throughout her life she primarily worked as a healthcare aide at nursing homes and later in private care. She had also worked as a secretary for Road Runner, an oil field company.
On October 8, 1976, she married Franklin “Gerry” Gerald Chaney and they shared 24 years together until his passing in 2000.
Becky loved fishing and going to the casino. She enjoyed crocheting, loved to talk and had big hair. She will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by both parents, husbands Gary Wilson and Franklin “Gerry” Chaney, daughter Michelle Wilson, grandson Clay Chaney, sisters Ruth Ann Miller (infant sister), Roxie Miller, Rita Williams, and Rhonda Miller; brothers Ronnie Miller, Renny Miller, and Raymond Dale Miller.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Gereldene Chaney of Cement and Michael and Angela Chaney of Chickasha; brothers Russell Miller and wife Alissa of Lindsay, Robert Miller and wife Penny of Pauls Valley, and Randy Miller of Norman; grandchildren and their spouses Melanie and Tim Troutman, Amber Chaney, Cody and Ashley Chaney, Jackson Chaney and Jacy Chaney; great-grandchildren Annabelle, Adalynn, Anita, Harry, Tate and Teigan; other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
