Funeral services for Rayma “Kaye” Mink, 76, of Blanchard, formerly of Cement, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in the Cement First Baptist Church.
Rayma “Kaye” Mink was born November 2, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Raymond Austin Thompson and Mary Jewel (Tillery) Thompson. She died Sunday, October 25, 2020 at her home in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Kaye grew up in the Chickasha area and attended schools in the surrounding areas.
In 1960, she married Jack Mink in Cement, Oklahoma. They lived in Chickasha for a time and then settled in Cement, where they raised their sons.
As she took care of her family and home, she also worked at Cement Grocery, the Cyril Nursing Home and Beco Oil Company as a secretary. In the early 1980’s, she and Jack moved to Blanchard where she helped work the farm.
In her younger years, Kaye enjoyed going dancing. She liked to quilt, work in her flower beds and watching her cows. She also liked to travel and loved playing with her grandkids. She was also active at New Hope Church for a time.
Kaye was preceded in death by both parents; her sister Joy Annetta Barker; a half-brother and half-sister Otis and Melba.
Survivors include her husband Jack of the home; son and daughter-in-law Randy and Brenda Mink of Alex; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Shelly Mink of Cement; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Zillah Thompson of Alex; grandchildren Chad Matthews, Brandy Matthews, Nancy Ragain, Amanda Groff and husband Jay, Jarrod Mink and wife Jennifer, Kristen Heller and husband Ryan, and Eric Mink; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Cement Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
