Funeral Services for Randy Don Boevers, 58, of Cement, will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ninnekah Baptist Church with Eddie Cox and Mike McReynolds officiating.
Randy Don Boevers was born August 13, 1954, in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Donald L. Boevers and Wanda L. Gardner Boevers. He died Saturday, September 8, 2012, in Cement, Oklahoma.
Randy grew up in the Verden and Chickasha area graduating from Chickasha High School in 1972. During High School he was very active in The F.F.A. “Future Farmers Of America” and High School Rodeo. He roped, barebacked and bronco rode and was named all-around champion. After High School graduation he attended Murray State College where he bareback rode and became a member of the Central States Rodeo Association. He rode throughout Oklahoma and Texas where he won numerous awards, buckles, and saddles. He later returned to the Chickasha area where he farmed wheat and alfalfa and raised cattle.
He married Karen Carter in 1973, and from this union his two children, Brodie and Tiffany were born.
On November 29, 2010, he married Samantha Estrada in Laughlin, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald and one grandson, Lane Cooper.
Survivors include his wife Samantha of the home; one son, Brodie Boevers of Mustang; one daughter, Tiffany Payne of Ardmore; mother Wanda Keeton of Chickasha; brother and sister-in-law Danny and Sheri Boevers of Ninnekah; one sister Lee Ann Boevers of Chickasha; and one step-son Derrick Estrada of Marlow; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two nephews.
Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home
