The graveside services for Randolph “Bud” Brittain, 91, of Chickasha have been rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Fairlawn Cemetery with Glenna Laird officiating.
Randolph Brittain was born August 20, 1925 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. He died on Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Randolph grew up in Eufaula and left school as a young man to work and help his family. In March of 1944, he entered the United States Navy, serving during World War II until June of 1946.
He owned a barbershop in California for many years. After retiring he moved to the Pocasset area.
Later in life, he had married Jean (Slate) Hughes and they made their home here in Chickasha.
Randolph enjoyed reading, especially reading about Nikola Tesla. He loved the Lord and served Him for 71 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Church.
His mother died when he was an infant and he was also preceded in death by his father, his daughter, Randy Brittain, and his siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hughes of Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Herby Thornburg of California; step-daughter, Angela Hughes of Chickasha; and other extended family and friends.
Viewing times for Bud will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
