Graveside services for Paul Dean Jennings, 79, of Ninnekah, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 in the Moore Cemetery with Bob Craddock officiating.
Paul Jennings was born September 30, 1934 in Amber, Oklahoma to Tom and Palace (McCluskey) Jennings. He passed away at his home in Ninnekah, Monday, June 2, 2014.
He grew up in the Amber, Pocasset, and Friend areas and graduated from Friend High School in 1952. Paul married Betty G. Johnson on October 3, 1953 in Friend, Oklahoma.
As a young man, Paul worked as an appliance repairman for several years and was also an ordained minister with the Baptist Church. He became a truck driver with Clements Foods and retired at the age of 57 years.
His wife, Betty, after 46 years of marriage, preceded him in death on January 21, 1999.
On August 25, 2004, he married Nadine Morris in Wichita Falls, Texas. He became a member of the Ninnekah First Baptist church. Paul and Nadine did some travelling together. He was an avid golfer, taking any opportunity available to enjoy golfing. He was passionate with his love for his family and got a lot of joy from family gatherings. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play football, basketball and other various sports.
Paul was preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Betty; son, Donald Jennings; two brothers, Bobby and Dale Jennings; and one step-son, Kenneth D. Morris.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Becky Jennings of Blanchard; daughter, Susan Jennings of Moore; daughter and son-in law, Teresa and Richard Swearingen of Oklahoma City; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Loney McVey of Houston, Texas; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, James and Peggy Sue Morris of Ninnekah ; step-daughter-in-law, Peggy Lee Morris of Ninnekah; four grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
