Patsy Marie DeVilliers, of Chickasha Oklahoma, died on January 29 th , 2022, at the age of 77. Pat was born Patsy Armina Hasty, to Willard and Mary Ellen (Kirby) Hasty, on July 7 th , 1944, in Chanute, Kansas. Pat was adopted by Lawrence and Edna Duvall in 1946. Pat had a wonderful life with her adopted family and many happy memories. Pat married James DeVilliers on June 23 rd , 1963. They were married for 44 years and had three daughters.
Pat loved to sew and made numerous quilts that she gave away. She loved to collect and display her colorful glassware. She enjoyed dinning out and shopping and didn’t hesitate to talk to a stranger (and maybe share too much). She loved God and attended and volunteered at church regularly until her health prevented her from going.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Faupel (Ken) of Stewartville, Minnesota, grandkids Gunnar and Ava, and by her daughter Sandi Rich (Elgin) of Chickasha Oklahoma, granddaughters Michelle and Heather, and grandkids from her eldest daughter, Shelley and Nathan. She was preceded in death by her husband James and by her daughter, Debbie, and by her parents and siblings.
A memorial service to celebrate Pat’s life will be scheduled in June.
