Funeral Mass for Patricia Ann Goss, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Prasad officiating.
Patricia Ann (Pace) Goss was born June 15, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford Charles Pace and Mary Evelyn (Hoppe) Pace. She died Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Pat attended and graduated from the Mount Carmel Academy on May 29, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas. She later attended Oklahoma College of Women and graduated May 1950 in Chickasha, Oklahoma with a Biology Degree. In her senior year, Pat was recognized as the Frates Science award winner for a “student majoring in science who has the scholarly attainment and the qualities of character most deserving this award.”
She married Bruce Alston Goss on November 2, 1958 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and to this union two children were born. Pat worked numerous years as a medical technologist with Dr. Foertsch in Chickasha. The last years of her career were spent at the family business, Baity Screw Machine Products, as an office manager, where she enjoyed not only the work that she performed but being with her family.
Pat was a life-long member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Her passions were her family, gambling and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Pat’s caring and compassion for people were unmatched. She was an advocate for anyone who she thought deserving and would do anything for them.
She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Bruce A. Goss in 2007; granddaughter, Evelyn Mae Holswade; sister, Jacquelyn O’Shea; brothers, Kenneth, Gerald and Eugene Pace.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Scott Holswade and their children Erica and Mark; son and daughter-in-law, Gavan and Kathy Goss and their children Joe, Kristen and Wesley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Ted Bingham, Angela and Frank Braun, Mary Kay and Bob Howell; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marsha Pace; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
