A funeral service for Oliver Buford Adair, 55, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Daniel Edwards officiating.
Oliver Buford Adair was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on June 09, 1969, and departed this life on June 24, 2024, in Oklahoma City. While growing up and attending school in Chickasha, Oliver moved to Boise City, Oklahoma, and then later Guymon, Oklahoma, where he lived for several years before moving back to Grady County.
Oliver worked at Ross Seed, tried his hand in the tire industry, but then found his life long career in trucking.
As a young man Oliver liked to two-step and rodeo and even rode some bulls. Later in life his passions became hunting and racing his car. He loved taking Samuel hunting.
Oliver loved spending time with his grandkids and especially liked to take them to the drag races. He had plans to help them build their own race cars one day.
Oliver was preceded in death by his father Daniel Adair.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Capps; sisters Starlya and Martha; brother James; daughters Shaylin and Ashley; and grandchildren Samuel, Gavin and Avery. He had several special nieces and nephews and close friends who were like family.
There will be viewing for Oliver at Ferguson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 26 th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and there will be no viewing at the service.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
