Funeral services for Norma Jean Cleghorn, 79, of Chickasha will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Davis officiating.
Norma Jean Cleghorn was born October 14, 1939 in Texarkana, Arkansas the daughter of Raymond Don Blackmon and Oma Lee (Cutchall) Blackmon. She passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Norma grew up and attended school in Fouke, Arkansas.
She married Thomas Carl Cleghorn and they raised their children together. In 1979, his oilfield work brought them to Chickasha. They owned and operated a small convenient store named KD’s Corner for many years. They enjoyed fishing and relaxing.
Norma lived out her life here in Chickasha. She loved going to the casino and was a fun-loving outgoing person. She spoke her mind with love and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jerry Lynn Cleghorn.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Donna and David Cecil of Tuttle, Dianna and Ronnie Ferrell of Wellston, Larry and Cathy Cleghorn of Ninnekah, Dewayne Cleghorn of Chickasha and Keith and Terri Cleghorn of Newcastle; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and John Cross of Fouke, Arkansas; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Bettie Blackmon of Fouke, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
