There will be no public services for Nellie Pearl Pugh, 91, of Chickasha.
Nellie Pearl Pugh was born July 31, 1933 in Washita, Oklahoma to Luther J. McCanlas and Mabel P. (Axton) McCanlas. She passed from this life on October 30, 2024 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Nellie married Murl Pugh in February 1951 and together they raised three sons and a daughter. Nellie worked for a short time as a nurse and a cook before staying home to care for the children.
She was praised for her cooking and greatly loved by her family and friends. Her husband, Murl, passed away in 2008 and she lived the rest of her life in Chickasha. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.
Nellie was preceded in death by both parents, husband, Murl Pugh, brothers Marvil and Orville McCanlas, daughter Teresa Payne and son John Pugh.
Loved ones left to remember her are her son Jackie Pugh and wife Anita of Verden; son Charles Pugh of Chickasha; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the legacy continues on; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Cremation services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
