Funeral services for Nathan Zeiset, 90, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 in the Plainview Mennonite Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Nathan Zeiset was born March 4, 1927 in the rural area of Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Nathaniel Zeiset and Hannah (Schmidt) Zeiset. He died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Nathan grew up around the Chickasha area and attended Sandlin Schools. At age 15 years, he went to Kansas and farmed for Irvin Harms and at around 21 years old, he moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico for a few years working for a church service unit. He came back home for a bit then settled in Montezuma, Kansas working as a hay swather and custom farmer, as well as other jobs. After retiring he moved back to Chickasha.
Nathan was preceded in death by both parents and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his sisters, Nina (Zeiset) Koehn and Johannah (Zeiset) Toews, both of Moundridge, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Plainview Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
