Funeral services will be held for Nancy Heusel 52, of Ninnekah at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Layman officiating.
Nancy Heusel was born in Willows, California, on September 5, 1960, the daughter of Melvin and Eva (Selph) Nixon. She died on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in her home.
Nancy grew up in California most of her younger life. She moved to Comanche, Oklahoma where she graduated high school in 1978. She graduated from USAO, in 1998, with a teaching degree in special and deaf education.
Nancy married the love of her life Bruce Heusel June 20, 1986, in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the New Life Church. Shortly after marriage they moved to Ninnekah where they lived together for 27 years.
Nancy found her passion teaching at Blanchard Public Schools where she founded the deaf education program. Her students meant everything to her. She took much pride in teaching. She had a special gift with all children. Her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren all called her “Hotrod Nana.”
Nancy will be truly missed, she touched many lives.

Nancy was a member of the New Life Church in Chickasha.
She was preceded in death by: father, Melvin Nixon and sister Billie Joe Nixon.
Survivors include: husband, Bruce Heusel; son, Timothy Keck; mother, Eva Rodgers all of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; brother, Albert Nixon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Brenda & David Miller and Susie & Leroy Davidson; two nieces, Tabitha & Tim Oliver and Madeline Davidson; nephew, Miles Davidson all of Blanchard, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Charlie and Joey Keck of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Interment will be in the Ninnekah cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home
