A graveside funeral service for Mignonne Williams Parker McDaniel, 64, of Oklahoma City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023 in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mignonne was the only child of Patsy (Davis) Williams Parker of Chickasha and A.P. “June” Williams, Jr. of Alex, and she was born October 3, 1958. She passed away from cancer on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Chickasha High School in 1975 at age 16. Mignonne later earned a BFA, BSN and an MBA. She was an RN, Certified Oncological Nurse and a Certified Case Manager. As an RN, she has provided loving care to her patients for over 30 years.
Aside from Chickasha, she has lived in many places including San Francisco, Guam, San Diego, Phoenix, San Antonio, Hollywood (Snoop Dogg was her upstairs neighbor), Sacramento, Oklahoma City and Salt Lake City.
Mignonne liked working with her hands and was always in motion until her illness overtook her. She enjoyed remodeling her home, gardening, baking, knitting, photography, writing, reading (she was an ardent Tolkien fan), mountain hiking, playing her violin, working out at the gym as well as spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents Ross and Myrtle Walton (who helped raise her) of Chickasha, Bob and Joie Davis of Chickasha, Ples, Sr. and Gillie Williams of Alex; and step-father Robert Burns of Manhattan, New York.
Loved ones left to remember her by are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kim (Meyer) McDaniel of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Jason and Samantha; aunt Margaret Davis Clawson and adoptive father, J.M. Parker of Alex; and other extended family and friends.
The service and interment in Rose Hill Cemetery will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
