Funeral Services for Mavohlee Bramblett Lynn, 91, of Chickasha will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Harris officiating.
Mavohlee Bramblett Lynn was born September 1, 1922 in Idabel, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert Lee Singleton and Rosa Lee (Johnston) Singleton. She died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Chickasha.
She moved to Gracemont as a small child, and then moved to New Mexico for a few years. She returned to Gracemont for a time, and lived in Alabama for a short while, returning to the Chickasha area in 1951, and finally settling in the Dutton area.
She was a member of the Dutton Home Demonstration Club and she owned and operated a café in Dutton.
In March 1937, Mavohlee married Vernon Nix Bramblett in Lovington, New Mexico and to this union two sons were born, Donald Ray and Jerry Wayne. Vernon preceded her in death in 1988.
Later, in the early 1990’s, Mavohlee married Walton Lynn in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2011.
She was greatly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents; both husbands; two sons, Donald and Jerry Bramblett; five brothers, Clarence, Alma, Melton, Floyd, and Walter Singleton; three sisters, Bertha Hooper, Ola Faye Breedlove, and Mary May Locke.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Della Bramblett; five grandchildren and their spouses, Matt and Malisa Bramblett, Neysha and Monty Baker, Chandra and Van Monroe, Bryan and Melissa Bramblett, Kristina and Todd Potter; ten great-grandchildren, Joshua Eastwood, Jeremiah Eastwood, Kadee Benito, Drew Baker, Kenzee Baker, Bethany Womack, Wyatt Womack, Gavin Potter, Kelsee Monroe, and Jett Monroe; and four great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
