Graveside services for Mattie Louise Hill, 87, of Chickasha will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma with Bill Embrey officiating.
Mattie Louise Hill was born March 14, 1925, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma the daughter of O.O. and Annie Lee (Hill) Goodnight. She died Saturday, March 24, 2012, in Chickasha.
Louise grew up on a farm in the Tabler and Amber area. She attended the Harris School and later graduated from Middleburg High School in 1944.
She married Willis Wayne Hill on September 21, 1954, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Farming was something Louise continued to do throughout her lifetime. She helped her father while growing up and then later in life farmed with her husband Wayne. Her employment, however, was at Pet Milk Frozen Foods where she worked for 37 years.
She was preceded in death by both parents; two sisters, Lillie Mae Petty and Evelyn L. Perkins; and one brother, Clarence F. Goodnight.
Survivors include: one son, Ron Hill & wife Barbara of Lakeside City, Texas; one granddaughter, Rhonda Wilhite & husband Don of San Antonio, Texas; one grandson, Randall Hill of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Maxine Smith of Bixby, OK; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
