A viewing for Mary Lou Cole will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Ferguson Funeral Home located in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Mary Lou Cole was born to Ada Mary and Harold Cole on Nov 10, 1957, In Sterling, Colorado. In 1961, the family moved to Loup City where Mary graduated from high school in 1976. After graduation, Mary moved to Ashton where she met and married Daniel Kaslon. To the union were first born Dennis then Chris. Later, following the trucking life, the family moved to Elkhart, Kansas, where Ivy and Eric were born.
Unlike most, Mary enjoyed working, and first spent time employed at Rose Lane in Loup City then many years at employed at Coney Island. Along with working, Mary stayed busy cleaning and organizing and was known for perfectly lining up her canned goods. In her free time, you could find Mary hiking, doing other outside activities, or just sipping coffee. Above all else though, Mary loved spending time with her family members and especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by children Chris and Shaylin Kaslon of Ninnekah, OK, Ivy and Michael Tingley of Gainesville, TX, and Eric Kaslon of Columbus, NE, sisters Barb and Butch Meslon of Silver Lake, KS, Beverly and Ivan Stueven of Grand Island, NE, Shirley and Roger Philbeck of Grand Island, NE, Vickie Peterson of Lincoln, NE, and Val and Cecil Lybarger of Grand Island, NE. Mary’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Brandon, Samuel, Gavin, Avery, Chloe, Nathan, Melody, Emily, Elizabeth, Dylan, Abel, and Blake.
Mary was preceded in death by grandparents Mary and Julius Barnes, parents Ada Mary and Harold Cole, brother Harold James Cole and her beloved infant son Dennis Kaslon.
Cremation was Mary’s choice and will take place after the time of viewing and those arrangements are with Ferguson Funeral Home.
