Memorial services will be held for Mary G. Patterson, 92, of Chickasha at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Pat Kennedy officiating.
Mary Patterson was born March 7, 1920, in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of Carl Schauseil and Lenora (Rheinhart) Schauseil. She died Thursday, October 31, 2012 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Mary grew up in Waverly, Ohio, and graduated from High School in 1938.
She married Jesse L. Patterson on November 10, 1945.
Mary worked in a factory in Columbus, Ohio, during World War II and later went on to work as a deputy for the Canadian County Courthouse after moving to El Reno, Oklahoma, in 1966. Her husband Jesse was also a civil servant as he worked for the Federal Government.
Mary loved music and playing the piano. She did volunteer work for the First Presbyterian Church in Waverly, Ohio, for many years until her husband passed away in 2008. She moved to Chickasha to live with her daughter.
Mary will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; both parents and two brothers.
Survivors include: one son Thomas L. Patterson of Waverly, Ohio; one daughter, Sherry Patterson of Chickasha; one daughter in-law Barbara A. Sword-Patterson of Waverly, Ohio; and one granddaughter, Tammy L. Patterson-Neibling of Columbus, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to First Presbyterian Church of Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
