Funeral services for Marvin Lewis Davidson, 81, of Ninnekah, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Layman officiating.
Marvin Lewis Davidson was born January 15, 1938 in Freedom, Oklahoma, the son of Alfred Alexander Davidson and Viola Nellie (Bliss) Davidson. He passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Marlow, Oklahoma.
Marvin’s family moved around Northeast Oklahoma and Kansas as he was growing up and he graduated from Climax, Kansas.
On May 28, 1959, he married Josephine M. Shore in Burden, Kansas. They have been married for 60 years.
Marvin had worked for Boeing and Cessna in airplane manufacturing but he was a truck driver for the oilfield for the majority of his life, retiring in December of 2015.
He loved to put model cars together, fishing, hunting and going to tractor and car shows. They liked to travel and he enjoyed hanging out with his family and riding 4 wheelers and 6 wheelers. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
Marvin was preceded in death by both parents, Alfred and Viola Davidson; brother, Charles Davidson; sisters, Roberta Davidson and Jennie Gee.
Survivors include his wife, Josie of the home; daughter, Brenda Davidson of Ninnekah; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jerretta Davidson of Comanche; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Wayne Brown of Batesville, Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Susie Davidson of Blanchard; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Tim Baxter of Denton, Texas; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter on the way; and other extended family and friends.
Interment in Ninnekah Cemetery will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
