Graveside services for Marvin Jones Jaques, 73, of Ninnekah, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma with Pastor Kim Hayes officiating.
Marvin Jones Jaques was born July 12, 1945 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Marcus Mike Jaques and Elsie (Jones) Jaques. He died at his home Thursday, March 21, 2019 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.
Marvin grew up in Anadarko and Chickasha and on May 9, 1963, he married Pauline Jones. They made their home in Chickasha and then moved to California, Washington, and Texas, before moving back to Chickasha in 1974 and then to Ninnekah in 1979.
For a time, Marvin worked doing tilework, in the car industry and in the oilfield, but for most of his life he was a long-haul truck driver. He loved owning and operating his own trucks.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved the hunting trips to Colorado with his wife. He also liked to watch old westerns.
Marvin was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Pauline and his brother Mike Jaques.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Jenise and Jim Smith of Broken Arrow and Kimberly and Jeremy Neeley of Ninnekah; grandchildren, Nolan Berry, Nathan Berry and Candice, Samantha Berten and Lane Berten; great-grandchildren, Aliyah Berry, Megan Berten, Evan Berry and Audrey Berry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Jaques, Bill and Jaimie Jaques and Fred and Frieda Hughes; other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
