Funeral services for Mark Don Null, 49, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastors Kim Hayes and Bill Adcox officiating.
Mark Don Null was born March 17, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is the son of Roger Dale Null and Bonnie Jean “BJ” Lawler. He passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, following a vehicle accident 15 months ago. Throughout these months, Mark fought hard and stayed positive.
Mark grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1988. He then went to UTI in Houston and studied auto mechanics.
When he returned to the Chickasha area, he worked for a few mechanic shops in Oklahoma City and Lawton before working for Ralph and Sons Tires here in Chickasha for several years, working his way up to manager in the tire department. Mark then went to work for TCI in Oklahoma City in outside tire sales and later working for Panhandle Tires and then back to TCI. Most recently, he worked for T&W Tires.
On December 3, 1998, he married Debra (Tannehill) Short and also gained three boys to raise. They had 20 years together.
Mark’s passion was raising his greyhounds, hunting and fishing. His life revolved around his grandkids and he loved his family very much. He was known for pulling practical jokes and was the fun-loving guy that all the children, including his nieces and nephews, wanted to hang out with. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Null; step-father, James Lawler; mother-in-law, Hazel Rogers; father-in-law, Tom Tannehill; grandmothers, Romain Ryan and Sylvia Null; grandfathers, John Furra and Melvin Null.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Null, of the home; sons, Steven Mitchell, Luke Short and wife, Sarah, and Skyler Short and special friend, Sarah; father, Roger Null and special friend, Paula; mother, Jean Lawler; sisters, Scherrie Santos and husband, Leonard, Amy Howell and husband, Robert, Amanda Evinger and husband, Andrew, and Marcia Mclean and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Jackson, Bryndon and Brinlei; nieces and nephews, Schellie, Vance, Kaden, Riley, Kathlean, Alyssa, Andrew, Gibson, Axlie, Annyka, Cheyenne, Johnny Wayne, and Eric; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; oh…and his greyhounds.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
