Funeral services for Marion Albert Pinkerton, 74, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Justin Avery officiating.
Marion Pinkerton was born November 30, 1946 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Carl Albert Pinkerton and Daisie Bell (Cox) Pinkerton. He died Friday, May 28, 2021 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Marion grew up in the Watonga and Greenfield area. He graduated from Greenfield High School then attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he got an associate degree in Small Engine Repair.
On February 24, 1973, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline Sue Knight, and they had 35 years together until her passing in 2008.
He had worked for many years on the family farm while also working at the OKC Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant. Marion was a very hard worker. He then worked at the Cherokee Trading Post restaurant and then the Pizza Hut in Watonga.
Marion liked fishing, hunting and wearing camo. He loved watching football, especially OU Football. Growing up he was baptized and a member of Greenfield Baptist Church. Around seven years ago he moved to Chickasha with family.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Jackie, brother Mike Pinkerton and sister Patty Chapman.
Survivors include his children Jennifer Pinkerton of Oklahoma City, Christy Cason and husband Bryan of Chickasha, Geoffrey Pinkerton and wife Melissa of Choctaw, Jaimie Wright and husband Don of Choctaw and Matthew Pinkerton of Yukon; grandchildren Abigail Cason, Breanna Cason, Brandon Cason, Michael Garr, Jacy Wright and Cannon Wright; and other extended family and friends.
Following the service, Marion’s wishes were cremation and those arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
