A funeral for Marilyn Louise Hudson, 80, of Edmond, formerly of Chickasha, will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Dover officiating.
Marilyn Louise (Rhodes) Hudson was born December 6, 1942 in Fletcher, Oklahoma the daughter to Leonard Floyd Rhodes and Bertha Viola (Phillips) Rhodes. She passed away June 22, 2023 in Edmond Oklahoma surrounded by her family.
Marilyn attended school in Fletcher, Oklahoma. On December 1, 1990 she married Charles Roland Hudson in Verden, Oklahoma. She loved babies and poodles. She loved the outdoors especially hiking with her grandkids at the Wichita Mountains in her earlier years. Marilyn also loved to dance to country western music, something she and her husband, Charles love doing together.
She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Verden, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brothers, Raymond and Eddie Rhodes, and sisters, Nancy Zavacki and Juanita Flood.
Loved ones left to remember her are her husband Charles of the home; son, Terry Mahorney of Anadarko; daughters, Pam Massey of Piedmont, Kim Langilotti of Cyril, and Kim Troy of Edmond; grandsons Jeremy Colburn of Columbus, Georgia, Jeffrey Orf of Chickasha, Matthew Mahorney of Yukon, Cole Hatchel of Midland, Texas, Chase Whitmire of Rochester, New York and Benjamin Whitmire of Cyril; granddaughters, Kalyn Chrismon of Anadarko and Lori Grenier of Las Vegas, Nevada; great-grandsons, Carson Colburn of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Preston Chrismon of Anadarko, Asher Chrismon of Anadarko and Liam Hatchel of Midland, Texas; great-granddaughter Jordan Colburn of Auburn, Alabama, brothers, Ora Rhodes of Cyril and Johnnie Rhodes of Bethany; sisters Hazel Perry of Moore, Margie Pendley of Norman, Norene Clinkenbeard of Lawton, Carolyn Anderson of Mansfield, Louisiana and Judy Dover of Noble and other extended family and friends.
Visitation with the family present will be Sunday, June 25th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home, where words of comfort and condolences may be left for the family at www.ferguson-funeralhome.com .
