Funeral services for Maggie (Smith) Rocha, 50, of Ninnekah, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Maggie (Smith) Rocha was born on October 19, 1966 in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Aaron and Colleen Smith. She died on December 4, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Maggie grew up in Stratford, Oklahoma and graduated from Stratford High School and was a top basketball player during her time at SHS. Maggie then attended and graduated college at Tulsa University.

She worked various jobs over the years, picking peaches with a perfect technique in Stratford, on the J-M Farms in Miami, and as a housekeeper for hotels.

Maggie moved to the Chickasha area to be close to her family. She loved OU with a passion and loved hanging out and fishing with her best buddy, Pat Moon. She was married to Jesse Rocha.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Justin Jerel Rocha; best buddy, Pat Moon; and sister, Phoebe Redbird.

Survivors are her husband and daughter of the home, Jesse and Clara Colleen Ramirez; son, Riley Washington; daughters, Angie Griffin and Stephanie Washington; seven other sons; nephew, Timothy Smith, who was like a son; “adopted” dad, Papa Chub; grandson, Damien Rocha and his mother, Danielle Aguinaga; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Viewing for Maggie will be Wednesday, December 7 th from Noon to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday before the service at Ferguson Funeral Home. The family wishes are cremation following the service.

Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
