Graveside services for Loretta Mae Moore, 84, formerly of Amber, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the Amber Cemetery.
Loretta Mae (Gilbert) Moore was born November 14, 1936 in Apache, Oklahoma to Jim Gray Gilbert and Edith Pearl (Lemon) Gilbert. She died on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Loretta grew up in the Fletcher/Cyril area and attended Fletcher schools.
On February 9, 1954, she married Vollie Harvey Moore in Chickasha and they had 50 years together until his passing in 2004.
Loretta spent many years raising her family and making a home. When her youngest started school, she applied herself and became a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). She worked at Shanoan Springs Nursing Center for 25 years, then went on for about 10 more years to do private sitting. After she retired, she helped with the grandbabies.
She enjoyed working with her roses in her yard and crocheting. Loretta had most recently attended church at College Heights.
She was preceded in death by both parents, many siblings, her twin brother Ed Gilbert, her husband, Vollie Moore and her son Ronald Lynn Moore.
Survivors include her children V. Garry Moore and wife Guwanna of Chickasha, Carl E. Moore of Chickasha, Terry W. Moore of Amber, Michael D. Moore and wife Robyn of Chickasha, Angela Kinzinger and husband Robert of Chickasha and Carol Miller of Chickasha; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
